Blendtec Professional 800 Review& Best Deals Today

The Blendtec Professional 800 is hands down the world’s best, quietest, and most powerful blender for home use. It has a commercial-grade 1800-watt motor!

This incredible power and its advanced blending technology outperform even the best Vitamix blenders, including the Propel Series 750 and Ascent A3500.

But the Professional 800 isn’t for everyone! In fact, unless you NEED a truly silent blender, I highly suggest reading this quick article before making the purchase.

Blendtec Professional 800 Review: At a Glance Overview!

Blendtec Professional 800 Review: Key Features & Benefits

All blenders, including the Blendtec Professional 800, have three key aspects that determine their overall blending performance, versatility, and durability.

These are the motor power, the container blade assembly quality and design, and the drive socket connecting the high-powered motor to the blade assembly.

1800-watt Motor Power

The Blendtec Professional 800 has a powerful 1800-watt motor, delivering 3.8-peak horsepower to blend even the toughest ingredients to a smooth consistency.

It’s the most powerful motor in any household blender ever had! The incredible power provides a long-lasting, commercial-grade blending performance.

The motor is brushless and equipped with automatic braking and high-quality cooling features to ensure a reliable, long-lasting, and quieter operation.

360-degree Sound Enclosure

The Professional 800 has a Blendtec-exclusive sound enclosure that allows it to run near-silent, even when blending tough ingredients at peak performance.

The enclosure is one of the three selling points of this blender! The others are the advanced smart blending technology and, of course, the powerful motor

My favorite feature about the sound enclosure is how roomy it is! It’s large enough to accommodate the 90-oz WildSide+ jar comfortably.

The enclosure dampens its sound levels by a huge margin! So your early morning blending won’t irritate the neighbors and family members or wake the baby!

NOTE: You will need a 24.4” clearance to use the Professional 800 with the enclosure on top it extends that high when you flip it open.

Illuminated, Capacitive Touch Interface

The Blendtec Professional 800 has an illuminated OLED touchscreen user interface with all the control settings. It’s fully sealed and super easy to use and clean!

It has an 11-speed manual touch slider with a pulse button and 6 preset programs for Smoothie, Batters, Mixed Drinks, Hot Soup, Whole Juice, and Frozen Treats

The panel has a digital timer that displays the remaining time when using the preset programs and counts up the blending time when using the manual speeds.

Blendtec 90-oz WildSide+ Jar

The Blendtec WildSide+ Jar is the largest for any kitchen blender. It has a 90-ounce capacity. Vitamix’s largest container has a 64-ounce capacity!

The WildSide+ Jar has a thick, blunt, 2-prong, 4-inch stainless steel blade assembly. The blades work by pulverizing ingredients at ultra-high speeds

The design is different from Vitamix’s sharp, 4-prong stainless steel blade assembly that works by cutting and pulverizing ingredients.

But the Blendtec’s blades are of high quality. They are 80% thicker and 10 times stronger and don’t need any replacement in the container’s lifetime!

With the incredible 3.8-peak horsepower, these blades pulverize even the toughest nuts, frozen fruits, and tiniest seeds to a silky-smooth, consistent texture.

The WildSide+ jar has an exclusive, patented square design with a fifth side. It allows for faster blending and efficiently processes frozen ingredients.

It also features two vertical ridges to disrupt the blending pattern and accelerate the process. The container is BPA-free and top-rack dishwasher-safe.

NOTE: Blendtec uses plastic instead of glass for all its containers and blending accessories for safety reasons due to the ultra-high blending power

Hardened Metal Drive Socket

Blendtec uses a durable, hardened metal drive socket to connect the high-powered motor to the stainless steel blades for a reliable and long-lasting operation.

10-Year Warranty

The Blendtec Professional 800 has a massive 10-year warranty, covering everything from parts to performance, labor, and shipping to the service center.

Blendtec is a family-owned company. All its blenders, jars, and accessories are engineered, manufactured, and assembled in Orem, Utah, United States.

After-Market Tamper for Blendtec

Blendtec says its unique WildSide+ jar provides tamper-free blending! But that isn’t entirely true because if it were, they wouldn’t have designed the Twister jar!

The truth is that the WildSide+ jar struggles to process thick blends like making nut butter, ice creams, and frozen treats unless you add a lot of liquids

Yet, even with the extra liquid, you must stop the process multiple times and use the Spoonula to scrap back the ingredients down to the blades.

The advantage of this is with a little patience and skill, you will get perfectly consistent nut butter, ice creams, or frozen treats with smooth textures.

But the downside is the painstaking process involved when pausing the blend, opening the enclosure, scrapping back, resuming, pausing again, and so forth!

The solution is getting an after-market tamper for Blendtec. I highly recommend the Tamperla blender stick for Blendtec Latching and Ventend Gripper Lids

NOTE: Remember, when using the tamper, you MUST keep the sound enclosure open! Thus, you won’t benefit from the near-silent blending operation.

What Can the Blendtec Professional 800 Do?

With the after-market tamper for Blendtec, you won’t need to spend $139.95 for the Twister jar. Here is what the Professional 800 + the 90-oz WildSide+ jar does:

  • It blends silky-smooth fibrous green smoothies!
  • It makes consistent milkshakes, cocktails, and fresh fruit smoothies.
  • It blends awesome frozen treats, ice creams, and sorbets.
  • It makes smooth nut butter, dips, spreads, and more!
  • It mills dry grains to make fine fresh flour for baking, etc.
  • The blade’s friction heat allows it to make steaming hot soups.
  • It kneads dough for baking and mixes batters for pancakes, etc.
  • It makes delicious nut milk from cashews and other nuts.
  • It grinds barista-quality coffee beans to different coarseness.
  • It crushes bar-quality, snow-like ice for your iced drinks.

Unlike Vitamix, the Blendtec blunt blade design handles wet and dry blending. You won’t need a second dry grains container for milling grains and grinding coffee!

If you wish to process smaller, personal-size batches, I recommend getting the 46-oz Mini WildSide jar with a 24-oz liquid capacity.

Cocktail enthusiasts and house party hosts should invest in the 90-oz Blendtec Margarita Jar with a 36-oz liquid capacity. But it can handle more!

The other container worth checking is the Blendtec GO 30-oz blending cup, but I prefer blending in the WildSide+ jar and using a portable cup for smoothies!

Blendtec Professional 800 Review: FAQs + Answers!

1. How Much Horsepower Does a Blendtec Professional 800 Have?

The Blendtec Professional 800 has a powerful 1800-watt motor that delivers 3.8-peak horsepower for commercial-grade blending performance.

2. Does Blendtec Have a Tamper?

Yes, you can purchase the after-market Tamperla blender tick for Blendtec. It comes in two designs: Tamper for Latching Lids and Tamper for Vented Gripper Lids

3. Why is Blendtec Better than Vitamix?

Blendtec is better than Vitamix due to its ultra-high-speed commercial-grade motor, hardened metal drive socket, and the strong, blunt 2-prong blades of the patented WildSide+ jar.

This powerful combination allows Blendtec blenders to do an awesome job pulverizing fibrous greens and fruit smoothies, milling dry grains, crushing ice, making cocktails, kneading, and mixing.

4. Which is Quieter Blendtec or Vitamix?

The Blendtec Professional 800 is the world’s quietest blender due to its unique sound enclosure and stealth sound-dampening airflow technology

The stealth blending technology makes this Blendtec quieter than all Vitamix household blenders, including the high-end Ascent Series A3500 and A3300

5. What is the Difference Between Blendtec Professional 800 and Stealth?

Blendtec Professional 800 and Stealth 885 are almost identical! The Professional 800 is designed for residential use and has a 10-year warranty, while the Stealth 885 is for commercial use and has a USB port and a 3-year warranty

Blendtec Professional 800 Refurbished: Read This First!

The Blendtec Professional 800 is available as a certified refurbished product for $150 less than the brand-new model costs!

The refurbished model has undergone meticulous inspection, testing, and repair at the Blendtec Service Center. It comes with a 1-year limited warranty!

The warranty is why I advise against buying it! The 10-year warranty of the new model is worth more than the $150 you would want to save.

Blendtec Professional 800 Review: Final Word!

The Blendtec Professional 800 is robust-built, powerful, near-silent, versatile, and durable! That explains why it’s also the most expensive household blender.

Its commercial-grade blending power and advanced Blendtec-exclusive blending technology allow it to handle most blends quickly and efficiently!

Like the high-end Vitamix blenders, it produces silky-smooth smoothies, hearty frozen desserts, delicious steaming hot soups, bar-quality crushed ice, and more!

It grinds barista-quality coffee beans, mills dry grains for fresh flour, kneads dough for baking, and does a terrific job mixing batters for pancakes, etc.

Unlike Vitamix containers, which come with wet or dry blades, you won’t need another container to process dry ingredients. Thanks to the blunt blade design!

The blade design makes better green fibrous smoothies since they pulverize and liquify the ingredients rather than chopping them finely like other cheaper blenders like the Ninja!

The Blendtec outshines the Vitamix at blending smoothies, juicing fresh fruits, making frozen drinks, cocktails, mixed drinks, milling, grinding, and crushing ice!

But the Vitamix’s sharp blade design allows it to quickly make nut butter, frozen desserts, ice creams, and other thick, creamy blends!

However, with the after-market tamper for Blendtec, it becomes just as great or even better than the Vitamix A3500. But it doesn’t coarsely chop!

But blenders weren’t designed for chopping, slicing, and shredding. The food processor does an exceptional job in that department.

The confidence in backing the Professional 800 with a 10-year warranty means Blendtec is sure this commercial-grade machine will last at least a decade!

Some users have had it for over 7 years. And it’s still working like new with daily use! The same blender is available for commercial use as the Stealth 885.

NOTE: Using the Blendtec Professional 800 commercially will void the warranty. The Stealth 885 has a 3-year warranty and comes in four different variations.

If you prefer an affordable commercial-grade blender as good as the Professional 800, I recommend getting the Blendtec Designer 650, but it’s quite loud!

Yet, it costs almost half the price of the Professional 800 and features a powerful 1560-watt motor, advanced smart blending technology, and the WildSide+ jar.

The Designer 650 has an 8-speed manual touch slider, a pulse touch button, six preprogrammed blend cycles, and an illuminated LCD timer.
